VOTE KERRY!
VOTE KERRY!
Full Gallery appearing NOW in my Members-Only area. JOIN NOW for access to ALL of my pics (full size) & vids! There are only a few days left, and nothing (not even the recent fabulous sex we've been having) has been making my heart pound faster than the anticipation of election day and what I hope will be clear, indisputable results electing Kerry as our next president. I really encourage everyone to make sure to view at LEAST one of the documentaries criticizing the Bush administration and its wealthy supporters. You don't have to unquestioningly believe everything the critics say and of course you should recognize that they are, indeed, fueled by personal politics and strong beliefs. What you have to ask yourself is whether or not the personal bias they bring to their film-making makes what they're saying false. I think not, but you can make up your own mind. For example, watch Unprecedented (about the disenfranchisement of THOUSANDS of voters in Florida) and I dare you to find evidence that the claims in the film and the evidence presented are false. Even if only 75% of it's true, you should be SHITTING YOUR PANTS. Also, if a biased media really bothers you, do watch Outfoxed to see Fox "news'" complete lack of journalistic integrity exposed. I'll be honest, I think some of Michael Moore's gonzo techniques and emotionally manipulative methods are hmmmm. . . stupid and funny but meaningless. In Fahrenheit 9/11 all of the footage of Bush and company looking silly and foolish while prepping for press conferences, media appearances, etc. was just totally unecessary, childish, and downright unfair. Bush and company look stupid and foolish enough in public moments without exploiting totally irrelevant private moments in which any normal human being could be caught looking like an idiotic fucking joke. But no matter what criticism you can dig up on the film, it's puny in comparison to the facts presented. If you choose not to watch the movie I have to wonder why not. I can kind of understand if you decide not to because you're already anti-Bush and already have the information presented, but come on . . . the film is important for other reasons besides personal persuasion; it's a major landmark and its success is a huge history-making statement about our culture. If you don't watch the film because you're pro-Bush, well what exactly are you afraid of?? The least you can do is watch it so you can knowledgeably argue with those of us who HAVE seen it. We just watched Bush's Brain about Karl Rove, Bush's senior advisor. The stories of how this man devoid of any ethics has destroyed people's lives was WAY more emotionally compelling to me than the story of the melodramatic mom in Fahrenheit 9/11. Any of you who are disillusioned by all the anti-Bush news coming out days before the election should give Bush's Brain a viewing. If you suspect the Kerry campaigners of manipulating news unflattering to Bush to undermine him right before election day, you'll really be disgusted by the filthy dirty tactics Karl Rove has employed throughout his career to start unfounded moronic totally irrelevant rumours about his candidates' opponents and sic the feds on them. But back to the issue of unflattering news about Bush appearing right before the election . . . come on, this isn't about negative campaigning, this is about the truth. Halliburton is dirty and Bush has has been ineffective in protecting us -- these aren't new issues, they aren't rumours and discussion of them doesn't need to be timed to appear before they can be discredited -- they're natural consequences Bush and Cheney have brought on themselves. No one has to orchestrate or manufacture exposing their sins because people this dirty are bound to have the roof cave in on them sooner or later. They should thank their lucky fucking stars it hasn't happened sooner. My personal question to Bush supporters is, in five, ten, twenty or thirty years or however long it takes for the majority of people to dispense with denial and psychological defense mechanisms protecting themselves from accepting that the Bush "presidency" is a sham, the Iraq war a tragedy, and we the people willing victims of propaganda, disenfranchisement, and the undermining of democracy . . . do you want to be one of the rubes and shills who assisted Bush and his cronies by playing along with them? Do you really think you're going to be rewarded on earth by Bush or in heaven by God for your blind faith and your complicity in sacrificing over a thousand (and counting) American soldiers and 10,000 (and counting AND a *conservative* estimate) Iraqi civilians in the name of greed and oil? We've brought them death, not democracy. We've brought our arrogance and an ignorant superiority complex to their country and thusly encouraged them to seek support with the same extremists who orchestrated 9/11. In years to come when people ask where you stood in 2004 do you want to have to confess you voted for four more years of this or maybe just sat at home and didn't vote at all? |
